Gary and Louise Short, Senior Pastors

Gary Short is the senior Pastor at Safeharbor. Gary has several years of pastoral experience including planting and pastoring a church in south Seattle for 12 years. Gary and his wife Louise have also been very involved in short-term missions to Africa leading numerous teams to that part of the world. Their current focus is war torn Sudan. Louise also works for the African Children's Choir.

The Shorts bring their personal vision for healing and restoration to the hurting and broken. They know personally the healing that can come out of tragedy through discovering the Father's love. Having lost their teen-aged daughter several years ago in an accident,

they have experienced the depths of emotional pain. They believe the church is to be a safe harbor of healing and grace for the hurting.

Gary is known for relevant and sometimes humorous Bible teaching. Both have extensive leadership and management experience. They have developed and taught ministry training institutes for lay people for the last several years. Along with the ministry of the Word, the Shorts are committed to leading a Holy Spirit sensitive church that allows room for individuals to use their God given gifts. Gary is deeply committed to every member ministry and has introduced Small Groups to Safeharbor as a means to encourage ministry to take place.

Gary and Louise are committed to leading a Church that embraces all people introducing them to the Father's heart. Safeharbor is a place to experience God's love.
